Products Introduction
Acetophenone is an aromatic ketone that is used to synthesize alcohols by catalytic hydrogenation and is also used in the fragrance industry.
Acetophenone (AP, methylphenyl ketone) is a commonly used industrial solvent. [3] It can be synthesized from 1-phenylethanol in the presence of PdAu-NPs-TiO2 (titanium dioxide-supported palladium-gold bimetallic nanoparticles) hybrids. [4] Vacuum UV absorption spectra show absorption bands at 196, 191, 179, and 167 μm. [5] In the presence of chiral oxazoline-based N-chelating ligands, AP undergoes a highly enantioselective hydrosilylation reaction with μ-naphthyl phenylsilane. [6] It can also be catalyzed by different transition metals under different conditions to undergo hydrogenation reactions.

Application
AP it is used in the manufacture of soaps and paper cigarettes. It is also used as an intermediate in organic chemical synthesis, a solvent for fiber resins, and a plasticizer for plastics. It is used to prepare cherry, tomato, strawberry, apricot and other food flavors, and can also be used in tobacco flavors. The recommended dosage in the final flavored food is 0.6~20mg/kg [4].
When used as a solvent, it has the characteristics of high boiling point, stability and pleasant odor. The solubility is similar to that of cyclohexanone, which can dissolve nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, vinyl resin, coumarone resin, alkyd resin, glyceryl alkyd resin, etc. It is often mixed with ethanol, ketones, esters, and other solvents.
